Oxford Insight now has a modern user interface and navigation alongside updates to existing features and even new tools. Here's an overview of the top enhancements available on the courseware platform with the Summer 2024 release. The Summer 2024 update to Oxford Insight brings a more visually appealing user interface that aligns with more modern web applications. This refreshed look also will improve the overall user experience and provide a more seamless way for students to engage with course content and instructors to more easily access robust reporting and course management tools. 

Key features of the new user interface and navigation include:

• All tools and buttons have been consolidated into a new left-hand navigation sidebar, freeing up vertical space and centralizing all controls.
• The sidebar and tab bar can be collapsed to maximize screen space for the content.
• The streamlined navigation controls improve the usability of the tabbed layout in the sections of each chapter of the eBook.

• A new student dashboard brings forward the elements most important to them, including assignments due, current grade, messages from their instructor, and the course table of contents.
• A new instructor dashboard spotlights key information and makes it immediately available upon login, including the calendar view of assignments and due dates, assignments that need grading, and a course performance snapshot.

Activity Settings in Oxford Insight allow instructors to control how students interact with course content, including the e-book and all assessments. With the Summer 2024 update, there is a new look and feel to Activity Settings and a few added enhancements but most of the tools you are familiar with, such as setting due dates and batch updates, are still there for you to access.

This redesigned feature includes:

• Easy-to-find Activity Settings selection in the navigation dropdown under Instructor Tools
• New presets that are customizable across all the different assessment settings
• More easily accessible custom batch settings pop-up

With this update, Oxford Insight offers instructors even more ways to gauge student performance and engagement through robust reporting.

Key features of the new reporting and insights include:

• The new Course Performance Report shows course summary statistics, such as overall average grade distribution, average grade by chapter, and average time spent in the course.
• The new Student Deep Dive Report brings together all aspects of each individual student’s work and performance into one dashboard, showing a detailed breakdown of performance and engagement.
• The new Assessment Deep Dive Report gives instructors quick access to detailed information on each assignment, such as a grade distribution graph, a list of all student submissions, and performance by course learning objective.
