The OED Downloadable Results proof of concept

Sign up to become a tester of this proposed new tool, and share your ideas and suggestions for its future development

As part of our exploration of new ways for researchers to harness the power of the Oxford English Dictionary (OED) dataset, we are currently investigating ways to provide filtered, downloadable wordlists from the OED dataset.

We have developed a proof of concept application to enable researchers to:

  • build customizable searches specific to field of interest, subject area and date range
  • preview their results in a browser
  • export results to a csv or json file which includes detailed OED metadata
  • compare and analyze results more easily

We are inviting members of the academic community to become testers of the proof of concept application. Submit your details in the form and we will get in touch with a link to the tool and a survey where you can share your feedback.
